FAQ
What should I wear for my session?
While I don't have a true client closet, I do have many neutral wraps and swaddles for newborns, and a few neutral outfits for sitters and first years. I love shooting whites and creams, but ultimately your pictures will be in your home, so anything you feel comfortable wearing, I'm okay with capturing! I recommend neutrals and linens or fabrics with movement. Less is always more, especially with in-home sessions.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Chesterland (northeast) Ohio. Travel is included for up to 30 minutes away, and there is a nominal travel fee ($25) for sessions that are outside of that range. At this time, I will only capture weddings that are within the greater Cleveland/Akron area.
When will we get our photos?
Depending on the time of the year, and the session type, my turn around is anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I reserve an 8 week turn around for fall weddings. Your high resolution photos will come fully edited through your email, and you will be sent a download code where you can download and print your images anywhere you would like. (Mpix is who I recommend!)
What else should I know?
- A retainer is due at the time of booking to reserve your date on my calendar, and goes towards the cost of your session.
- Should you need to cancel, the retainer is nonrefundable but can be used towards another session in the same calendar year.
-An extra $25 fee will be added to the cost of your session for weekend availability for family/newborn sessions
- It is best to book newborn sessions once you are into your second trimester. I will put you on my calendar for your due date, and you let me know once baby is here and I get you scheduled. I take a limited number of posed newborn sessions each month, but can accommodate more lifestyle sessions.
- Weekend sessions for newborns are not guaranteed. I prefer to shoot newborns Monday-Friday near midday. Please let me know when booking if you think you will require a weekend session, and I will do what I can to accommodate you.
How to I join the mini group?
The mini group is reserved for clients who have had a full session in the previous calendar year, or who have had two or more sessions with me since I've started my business.
